Im not trying to say The Bravery sampled any part of Duran Duran's Careless Memories. Or that they sound the same. So please dont get your panties in a bunch. BUT!!! I must say when I heard Careless Memories, the first thing that came to mind was " Hey, this sounds like a Bravery song". I can hear the Shared Essence. Totally! So I figured I'd post to about it.
My first music obsession without anybody's influence was Mazzy Star the summer of 1993. I collected every album, spent time at Rasputin listening to the any/all albums till I could afford to buy them. Then it trickled over to Hope Sandoval and The Warm Inventions. And guess what??? They are back with a new album, "She's in the Wall"
I swear my social life is controlled by live music.
If I dont have a show to look forward to, my life feels bleak.
So I'm constantly on the look out for the next best high.
That truly is what it feels like to me when I watch a killer band live.
Anyway, today I purchased my Pentagram tickets!! And the BOOKING GODS have answered my prayer, haaha! Wax Idols (whom I see with Modern English in May as well) and King Woman are the Special Guests. Fuuuckinnnnggg Killerrrrr! I'm seriously dying right now. SO, check out some of the songs I'm excited to see
