Magically this all came together.
I do not have a lot of money, I do not own a credit card.
After penny pinching and working my ass off, this was a possibility.
I cut my cable bill in half, no mani/pedi's, no shopping, cooking at home and eating leftovers, little drinking and not going out as much this past two months has saved me a lot.
Its a lifestyle change and sacrifice.
But its not that hard to achieve.
Have a strategy and make shit happen.

Make It Happen
This is so wiiild!
I'm going to Mexico in November.
San Miguel de Allende
to be exact.
I have never been to Mexico.
Its been on my to-do-list
for decades.
I refuse to do a Resort experience, its just not my style.
A group of us are going and one person is from Guanajato.
Which means....
We have a local to show us around and who can speak the language!!
We are staying in a mansion, blocks away from Parroquia de San Miguel Arcangel.
Its amazing how cheap it is to stay in a plush home, with a maid in Mexico.
Awesome right!??
This "idea" has been in the works since last October. I didnt think I could afford it since I'm going to Japan in May.
But after a long deliberation, and writing down financial goals, I realized this is not impossible!
So BAM!
Shit's taking off,
and this is slowly becoming a reality.
By the end of this month I'll have my plane ticket.
(pictured above Sanctuary of Atotonilco)
I really need to check out this church with all its Baroque Murals.
And of course I gotta check out, The Museum of Mummies.
†
Now that this is set in stone, I'll start my research and see what else I can add to my Must-See-List.

Life is good.
Everyday I am appreciative and inspired.
My dream has always been to see the world.
This is just the start.
Thank You
-2018-
for allowing me to see the magic,
and to know it
can be
mine.

Soft Kill
Finally saw Soft Kill last Tuesday!!
Fuuuck!!
What a killer show.
The whole set was impressive, but I was more than happy when they closed the show with
"Whirl"
All the footage I took was so shitty, it was super dark and loud in there. My phone just didnt Cut It. Besides that, Rad Show! Rad Time! Rad Venue
†
The venue was at the Starline Social Club in Oakland.
This was my first time seeing a show here.
You walk in and its this cute loungy, restaurant/bar. They have a mini stage and there was an acoustic band playing. After walking through
towards the back there is a wide art deco staircase that takes you to the top. OMG! The second floor is so RAD! They little vintage booths, tall windows, a bar, a decent stage and restrooms. Real Neat location.

Iris van Herpen
Stunning!
This collection reminds of the underside of a mushroom, the gills of sea creatures and H.R. Giger.
Bravo!
Enjoy!

Smile Now, Cry Later
This post took awhile. It's the perfect example of the power/influence of music. I was devastated when I heard the news that Dolores O'Riordan
had died. To have never met a person and be crying over their death?
Bizarre.
But at the same time it's fascinating.
Music
is
Magic.
It's a wild connection to all your senses.
Thank you Dolores and The Cranberries
for getting me through my crazy teen years, an abusive relationship, loneliness and heartbreak .

Here are a few of my favorites.

Hello 2018!!!
Wowza!!
Holiday's came and went like lightening!
I rang in the new year with awesome humans, a crab feed, tiki time and lots of dancing!
I partied hard and responsibly,
and opened my eyes on January first with
NO
HANGOVER BABY!
Yep.
Bravo Angie!!

2016 & 2017
consisted of: getting through Empty Nest Syndrome, cleansing negative people out of my life and realizing life is truly what you create it. As cliche' as that sounds, I finally feel it in my veins.
♥
Yesterday morning I took a solo drive to San Francisco.
I wandered and explored the Dogpatch Neighborhood.
I love all the abandoned historic piers, quaint neighborhoods and it even drizzled while I was walking around. Surprisingly, there was no wind and it wasn't cold.
Check out my delicious breakfast!
Yes, that's a beignet.
(Breakfast at Just For You Cafe)

I must say, I really enjoy exploring by myself. I can eat where I want, go where I want, take as long as I want to take photos and really take in the experience. I was home by 2pm and had time to cook a delicious dinner.
I have a feeling 2018 is going to be filled with
adventures, lots of food, solo trips, art, music and great company.
♥
2017,
I respect your importance and life lessons. I wouldn't be mentally where I am today without you. But, on the other hand,
Ciao!!
